SSC conducts Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination for the recruitment of Grade “B” and “C” categories posts in various Government Ministries, Departments and Offices. SSC CGL 2017 Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Age Limit – age of candidate should be 20 to 30 years. Age relaxation is provided to reserved category as per the Government rule.

SSC CGL 2017 Application Form

  • Interested and eligible candidates can apply for SSC CGL 2017 Exam. CGL application form can be filled thru online mode only, online application form will be available at SSC official website.
  • Mode of Fee Payment – candidates need to pay an application fee of INR 100. Candidates can submit fee through SBI challan/net banking and debit/credit card. Female, SC/ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen candidates don’t need to pay any application fee.

SSC CGL 2017 Selection Procedure

  • Tier-1: Written Examination (MCQ, 200 marks)
  • Tier-2: Written Examination (MCQ, 200 marks)
  • Tier-3: Written Examination (Descriptive Type, 100 Marks)
  • Tier-4: Computer Test / Skill Test (wherever applicable)

SSC CGL 2017 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Tier-1 Exam Pattern:

  • Exam is objective type and will be conducted online.
  • Question paper will be divided into 4 sections: (1) General Intelligence & Reasoning, (2) General Awareness / General knowledge, (3) Quantitative Aptitude and (4) English Comprehension.
  • There are 100 questions for 200 marks and exam duration will be 75 minutes.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Tier-2 Exam Pattern:

  • Exam is objective type and will be conducted online.
  • There are 4 papers, (Paper- 1) Quantitative Ability, (Paper-2) English Language and Comprehension, (Paper-3) Statistics and (Paper-4) General Studies (Finance and Economics).
  • Paper-1 & 2 is compulsory for all posts and Paper-3 is only for the post of “Statistical Investigator Gr. II” & “Compiler” and Paper- 4 is only for the post of “Assistant Audit Officer”.
  • Each paper carries 200 marks and exam duration is 2 hours for each paper.
  • There will be negative marking for each wrong answer, negative marking of 0.50 marks in Paper-1, Paper-3 & Paper-4 and negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-2.

Tier-3 Exam Pattern:

  • Exam is descriptive type and will be conducted offline.
  • Candidates need to write Essay / Précis / Letter / Application Writing etc.
  • Exam carries 100 marks and exam duration is 60 minutes and exam duration will be 80 minutes for “VH” and “Cerebral Palsy” candidates.

SSC CGL 2017 Admit Card

SSC will issue the CGL 2017 Tier-1 exam admit card on its official regional websites. Candidates can download their SSC CGL admit card from SSC regional website.

SSC CGL 2017 Answer Key

SSC will publish the answer key of CGL exam candidates can check their performances in the exam with the help of CGL answer key. SSC releases an answer key every year for the candidates to verify their responses in the CGL examination. Commission will upload the CGL answer keys after the exam on its official website.

SSC CGL 2017 Cut Off

Every candidate is required to score the marks equal or more than the minimum qualifying marks, which is also known as the “Cut off”. Cut off marks will be different for all categories. Cut off marks will be available for all the categories.

SSC CGL 2017 Result

The result of CGL exam usually announced after one month from the exam.
