NTSE & NMMS Scholarships for Delhi Students

Delhi government is conducting scholarship test for students studying in Delhi Schools. There are two scholarships programmes :

1. First stage National Talent Search Exam. (NTSE) -2011

2.  National means- Cum –Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMS)- 2010-11

First stage of National Talent Search Exam (NTSE)-2011 is for all students studying in class VIII in any school under NCT Delhi. It is conducted by Science Branch, Directorate of Education, Delhi. Second Stage Examination will be conducted by NCERT. Students who have scored 60% or above (55 in case of SC/ST/PH) are eligible for NTSE first stage examination. Application forms will be available till 27th August 2010 and filled application forms can be submitted till 9th September 2010 at Science Branch. The exam will be conducted on 21st November 2010.

National means- Cum –Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMS)- 2010-11 is for those students who are studying in class VIII in government school or government aided school under NCT Delhi and their  parent’s annual income is less than 1.5 Lakh.  It is conducted by Science Branch, Directorate of Education, Delhi. Students who have scored 55% or above (50 in case of SC/ST/PH) are eligible for NMMS examination. Application forms will be available till 27th August 2010 and filled application forms can be submitted till 9th September 2010 at Science Branch. The exam will be conducted on 21st November 2010.

NTESE- 2010 & National Means- cum-Merit (NMMS)- 2010 will be on 21-11-2010 for the students presently studying in class VIII. Under this scheme there is provision of reservation for (1) SC category-15% ST Category -7.5% (3) Physically, Visually & hearing challenged 1% each.

In NMMS examination, only Govt. aided/ NDMC/MCD School’s students are eligible.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Name of the Exam Parental annual income for the year 2009-10 Class as on 31.7.10 in which Student is studying. %of Marks for General Category should have % of Marks for SC/ST/PH should have
NTSE NO limit CLASS-VIII Secured min. 60% marks in class VII during 2009-10 Secured min 55% Marks in class VII during 2009-10
NMMS -2010-11 Rs 1,50,000/- CLASS-VIII Secured min. 55% marks in class VII during 2009-10 Secured min 50% Marks in class VII during 2009-10

All the Heads of Schools are requested to depute some responsible person along with the authority letter to collect the Application Forms and other related materials form the Science Branch on all working days 10.30AM to 3.30PM except Sat & Sunday.

NOTE:

(a) ALL H.O.S. may note caste category cannot be changed after the submission of Applicationforms.

(b) Percentage of marks should be calculated as per grading system.

    – Kolapur,Gadchiroli and Latur three districts 255000 students appear for ssc exam. Passign percentage are Kolapur 85%,Gadchiroli 80% and Latur 90%. Q. Howmany SSC student pass in Gadchiroli district ?
