Admission Notice for B. Ed 2010-2011
Applications are invited from eligible candidate for admission to B. Ed Course for the session 2010-2011 in the Department of Education, H. P. University, Government College of Teacher Education, Dharamsala and other colleges of education under self financing scheme recognized by NCTE and affiliated to H. P. University. Out of the total available seats 85% of the seats are reserved for bonafide/domicile residents of Himachal Pradesh and 15 % seats to the residents of other states.
Handbook of information containing admission forms can be had from the office of the Chairperson, Department of Education, H. P. University, Shimla form 20.05.2010 to 30.06.2010 on working days during office hours on payment of Rs.275/- at the counter and through registered post by sending crossed Indian Postal Order/Band Draft of Rs.325/- payable to Finance officer, H. P. University, Shimla, alongwith request for supply of prospectus by post be sent to the Chairperson, Department of Education. Money order shall not be accepted. No prospectus will be sent by post after 30.06.2010.
Handbook of information will also be available at District Headquarter Post Offices and selected Tehsil Headquarters Post Offices in state of Himachal Pradesh.
The last date of receipt of Admission form complete in all respect in the office of chairperson, Department of Education is 10.07.2010. The candidates with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/Ex-serviceman candidates) either in Bachelor’s degree and /or in Masters degree for any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to B. Ed. Course.
The allotment of colleges will be done through face to face counseling by the Central Committee constituted by the Hon’ble Vice-chancellor in the HPU auditorium. The allotment will be based on merit-cum preference subject availability of the seats in the colleges preferred by the candidates. Every candidate must check the website of H. P. University for date of Councelling.
