GB Pant University Counselling Schedules 2016

Pant University is conducting counselling schedule for admission to the Undergraduate {B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Sc. Ag., B.F.Sc., B.Sc. (Home Science) and B.Sc. (Food Technology Self-financed)} /Masters’/ MCA/ M.Tech./ Ph.D. programmes through the Entrance Examination conducted by this University on 4.6.2016 and 5.6.2016.

Counseling process will start from 13 July till 21 July, 2016. The details are as below:

(a) Candidates who have applied for admission to M.Tech. programmes based on B.Tech. merit are requested to submit their B.Tech. final year Marksheet/Transcript by 26-7-2016. They will be eligible only during IInd counselling if there are vacant seats.

(b) Candidates for Other States having GATE qualifying marks in Agricultural Engineering will be eligible only during IInd counselling if there are vacant seats.

Deposition of counselling & advance fee will be on the same day (from 10.00 a.m. onwards) and the University fee will be deposited on next day before issuing the ID Number.

The allocation of seats in each programme is strictly in order of merit and the number of candidates eligible for counselling is far more than the available seats. Therefore, in case a seat is not available by the time your turn comes, the University shall not bear any responsibility for the same.

The admission against the reserved seat(s) is subject to the submission of respective certificate(s) in the prescribed format as given in the Prospectus 2016-2017.

Please note that the seats for admission for UG and Masters’ programmes are available for the candidates’ domicile of Uttarakhand State only. The candidates have to submit the domicile certificate of the Uttarakhand State issued after 20-11-2001 as per G.O. dated 20-11-2001 failing which his/her candidature shall not be considered for admission.

Please bring the following documents with you for checking and submission at the counselling place:

  1. Attested photocopies of High School Certificate and Marksheet alongwith the originals.
  2. Attested photocopies of Intermediate Certificate and Marksheet alongwith the originals.
  3. Attested photocopies of Marksheet(s) and Certificate(s) of any other higher degree qualification(s) that you may possess alongwith the originals.
  4. Attested photocopy of Domicile Certificate of Uttarakhand State issued by the competent authority after 20 Nov. 2001 alongwith the original (Essential).
  5. Attested photocopy of Rural/Sports/Agriculturist Weightage Certificate/J&K Resident/Kashmiri Migrants Certificate alongwith original, as given in the Prospectus 2016-2017 Appendix-VII if applicable (Essential).
  6. Character/Conduct Certificate in original from the Head of the Institution last attended (Essential).
  7. Five-passport size photographs with name and Roll Number written on the back.
  8. The Medical fitness Certificate from the Chief Medical Officer of a District/Chief Medical Superintendent of Govt. Base Hospital on the format given in the Prospectus 2016-17 Appendix-II (Essential).
  9. Attested photocopy of Category Certificate (SC/ST) issued after 21 Nov. 2001. In case of OBC category, the OBC Certificate issued after 31.3.2016 on the prescribed proforma given in the Prospectus 2016-17 AppendixVII Certificate-I alongwith the originals (Essential).
  10. Solemn Voluntary declaration Appendix –IV.
  11. On the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court an affidavit duly signed by the candidate and his/her parents/guardian for non-participation in ragging on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10.00 duly notarized given in the Prospectus 2016-2017 Appendix –V & VI.
  12. A Gap Certificate accounting for discontinuity of more than three months after leaving the Institution last attended. (The employee should bring certificate from employer, others should produce a sworn affidavit duly notarized on stamp paper of Rs.10/- Notary stamps Rs.10/- (total value Rs.20/-).
  13. The Migration/Transfer Certificate in original to be submitted within three months of the admission.

Admission shall be subject to fulfilling the minimum eligibility qualifications prescribed for the programme and declared medically fit by the Chief Medical Officer of a District or Chief Medical Superintendent of Govt. Base Hospital.

The candidate once admitted in a programme as per his/her merit and availability of seat at the time of counselling will not stake claim for change of programme after counselling is over.

This offer shall stand cancelled in case you do not report for the counselling at College of Technology (New Building), Pantnagar on the fixed date and time cited above, under any circumstances counselling will not be postponed.

The accommodation for candidates called for counselling is provided on payment basis on availability in Farmers Hostel/International Guest House of the University. If required you may have to stay one day extra.

Vacant seats in UG, Masters’, MCA and M.Tech. programmes shall be filled during IInd counselling which is scheduled on 4 th and 5th August 2016. Further details will be uploaded on the University website on 2nd August, 2016.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University reserves the right to refuse the admission to any of the candidate despite his/her selection.
