For those who do not want to get into a regular college in Delhi University (DU) or those who feel they won’t be able to make it, there is the option of joining the university’s School of Open Learning. SOL will finally start sale of forms for its undergraduate courses from June 4. From this year, the minimum aggregate required to apply to SOL has been changed from pass to 40%.
The forms were to be released from June 1 but SOL officials cited a delay in printing of forms and prospectus as reasons for a change in schedule. However, sources in SOL said the delay in giving out the forms was due to internal opposition to changing the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.
SOL director, H C Pokhriyal, said, ‘‘The admission forms will be distributed from June 4. There was a delay due to some technical problems. We have made the eligibility criteria as 40% for BA and BCom courses to bring it at par with regular colleges .”
