Note: Aspiring Candidates and their parents may please note that all admissions in DTU, will be strictly made according to merit of AIEEE-2011. There is no discretionary quota in the university with any authority.

The admission to 5% seats in B. Tech (14 seats) and M. Tech (17 Seats) full time programmes of Delhi Technological University for NRIs, Foreign Nationals and Persons of Indian origins shall be made on the basis of merit as per score in SAT-II (score with physics and mathematics) / GRE as applicable. The candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in PCM in qualifying examination for admission in B. Tech programme an 60% in aggregate in BE/B Tech examination for M. Tech. Other details regarding admission and application form are available on the university website : www.dce.edu.

The application form can be downloaded from the DTU website www.dce.edu w.e.f 03/06/2011 and submitted along with a demand draft of Indian Rupees 5000/- on or before the last date of receipt of complete application form i.e. 30.06.2011. The list of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed on the website of the university on 13.07.2011. THe selected candidates will be required to take admission by 16.07.2011 falling which the admission will be offered to the next qualifying list on 22.07.2011.

The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of “Registrar, Delhi Technological University”, payable at “Delhi”.

Note : The application form received after the last date will not be considered under any circumstances. Incomplete application form are likely to be rejected.

The two-year MBA program offers specialization in Knowledge and Technology Management/ Supply Chain Management/ and Information Technology Management in third semester and in Financial Management/ Human Resource Management/ andMarketing Management in fourth semester. There are 60 seats available in this program. According to Prof. S. K. Garg, Head of DSM, DTU, “DSM endeavours to enable future managers understand the challenges of the information and knowledge driven tech-savvy work environment and develop their competence and calibre to meet and greet these challenges. It offers right combination of class-room learning, hands-on-experience of the corporate world and exposure to the experience of the industry stalwarts that will equip students of MBA program to place themselves as managers of 21st Century in the globalized economy.”

The eligibility requirement for this course is:-

B.E./ B.Tech. in any branch of Engineering/ Technology from a recognized Institute with minimum 60% marks in aggregate
OR
Ist class Master’s Degree in any branch of Physical/ Chemical/ Mathematical Science like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operation Research, Computation/ Information Science or Master’s Degree in Commerce/ Economics.

Note: Relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent CGPA is offered to SC/ST/OBC candidates.

* A student needs to have qualified CAT-2010 exam to be eligible for the course.

How to apply: Prospectus of DSM along with the Application Form can be downloaded from DTU’s website www.dce.edu. Completed Application Form along with relevant enclosures must be submitted along with DD/ Pay Order of Rs. 1000/- in favour of ‘The Registrar, Delhi Technological University, Delhi’, payable at Delhi by March 28, 2011.

Selection procedure: Applications received will be short-listed on the basis of performance in CAT and qualifying exam. The short-listed candidates are required to appear for an interview and group discussion, on the basis of which admissions will be made.The classes will commence from August, 2011.

There are 14 BTech programmes on offer this year with a total intake of 910 seats, where 85% seats will be reserved for Delhi category students and 15% for outside Delhi category. The admission to both Delhi and outside Delhi categories will be on the basis of rank obtained in the AIEEE-2010 examination. The last date to submit the completed application forms for BTech and MTech programmes is June 21, 2010 (Monday) by 4pm and for PhD programmes the deadline is June 25, 2010 (Friday) by 4pm.

ADMISSION NOTICE FOR M. TECH. AND Ph.D PROGRAMS 2010-11 OF DTU

Delhi Technological University (DTU) has been established by Govt, of Delhi by upgrading the erstwhile Delhi College of Engineering vide Delhi Act 6 of 2009 which has come in force with effect from July 15, 2009 with its notification in the official gazette. DTU is committed to attract best of minds for its faculty & students, ensure high academic standards and encourage research & innovation in areas of relevance to industry and society. Applications are invited for Admission to 17 M.Tech Programes for the Academic Session 2010-2011. Total number of seats, full time and part time available in each course are indicated below:

M.Tech. PROGRAMS

Eligibility: For admission to full time course valid GATE score is essential. Other details of eligibility for each course are uploaded on the website: www.dce.edu and can also be had from the Reception Counter of the University. Separate application forms must be submitted for courses offered by each department.

Ph.D PROGRAMS: Ph.D Programs are offered in the following academic departments:

Civil/ Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Mechanical/ Production/ Computer/ Information Technology/

Polymer Technology/ Applied Chemistry/ Applied Mathematics/ Applied Physics/ Management and

The number of scholarships/seats available for the academic session 2010-2011 are 17. Scholarships

are admissible as per rules of Government of Delhi.

Short listed candidates will be required to appear for interview. No TA/DA is admissible for interview. NET qualified candidates having UGC/CSIR Scholarship can also be considered for admission to full-time Ph.D programs. This would be in addition to the number of scholarships/seats mentioned above. The application form can be obtained from the Reception Counter, Administrative Building, Delhi Technological University, Shahbad Daulatpur, Main Bawana Road, Delhi-110042 in person on all working days from Monday to Friday between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM on submission of Pay Order or Crossed Demand Draft of Rs.1,000/-.

The application form can also be obtained by post but the request by post for the form, accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 1,100/- (inclusive of postal charges) must reach the Joint Registrar (Admn.), Delhi Technological University, Bawana Road, Delhi-110042 latest by the date specified below. Request for application form must indicate the applicant’s name, address, the course for which admission is sought and three self addressed slips of size 10 cm X 5 cm.

Important Dates

The candidates who have passed State Diploma in Engineering of Three years duration and have served for a period of not less than one year as on 1st day of October, 2009 in an established engineering works/organization, located in the N.C.T. of Delhi and contiguous industrial areas shall be eligible to appear in the entrance examination.

The bulletin of information containing details of the admission procedure, Application Form and Syllabi of Entrance Examination is available from B. Tech (Part-Time) Office, Room No. FW1-FF4, Electrical Engineering Department, w.e.f 16th March, 2009 (Monday) on all working days (Monday to Saturday) 2.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. on submission of Crossed bank Draft/Pay Order of Rs. 550/- drawn in favour of ‘the Coordinator B. Tech Entrance Examination’ payable at Delhi.

Candidates desirous of obtaining the bulletin of information by post should send their request to the Deputy Coordinator (Admn,) B. Tech, Entrance Examination, B. Tech (Part Time) Office, Room No. FW1-FF4, Electrical Engineering Department, Delhi College of Engineering, Bawana Road, Delhi 110042, Enclosing therewith a self addressed envelope (25 cm x 18 cm) and a crossed bank Draft/Pay Order for Rs. 600/- drawn in favour of The Coordinator, B. Tech Entrance Examination. Payable at Delhi.

Request for issue of the bulletin of information by post will not be entertained after 1st April 2009 (Wednesday).

The complete Application Form should reach the Deputy Coordinator (Admn.) on or before 15th April 2009 (Wednesday) latest by 7.00 p.m. either in person or by post. Under no circumstances, the applications, received after this date, shall be entertained.

No mode of payment other than the one mentioned above shall be accepted.

Last Date for receipt of request for supply of Bulletin by Post is 2nd  April, 2009 (Thursday). The complete Application form can be submitted by 10th  April, 2009 (Friday) (5:30 P.M.). Duplicate admission ticket will be issued on 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th May, 2009 between 10:00
A.M. to 4:00 P.M. in case the applicant does not receives the original one.

Combined Entrance Examination (CEE-2009) will be conducted on 30th May, 2009 (Saturday) (9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.) at various centers. Date of Declaration of result of CEE-2009 is scheduled about 2 weeks after the conduct of examination. The applicant can apply for  rechecking of result of CEE-2009 Within 7 days from the date of declaration of result of CEE 2009 on payment of Rs. 100/-

The application form for admission will be available from DCE/NSIT Immediately after declaration of CEE result. The details will be published in leading newspaper by DCE/NSIT some time in 2nd/3rd week of June 2009. The counseling for admission to B.E. courses for both the institution i.e. DCE/NSIT will be conducted by the Admission Committee, DCE/NSIT.
Closing date for admission to B.E. courses is 31st August, 2009 in DCE/NSIT.
