Over 15,500 students appeared for the entrance test, which is also conducted for courses like bachelor of business studies (BBS) and bachelor of financial investment and analysis (BFIA). The results for BBS and BFIA were declared earlier as the admission process also involves interview and group discussions. BBE admissions are based on Class XII marks and the entrance test score. The ranking of the shortlisted candidates is based on equal weightage to both. In all, 11,000 students took the test for the business economics programme which is offered by 10 colleges and has 550 seats.

The first counselling will start from July 4 at the arts faculty, South Campus. Last year, all the seats for the general category were exhausted in the first counselling itself.

For the BBS course, 1,140 general category candidates have been shortlisted for interview and GD while in the reserve categories, 261 SC, 37 ST and 451 OBC students have been chosen. The 277-seat BBS course is offered at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Keshav Mahavidyalaya and Saheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies. For the BFIA course, which has 62 seats, 252 general candidates have received interview and GD calls. From the reserved quotas, 105 OBC, 59 SC and 25 ST aspirants have been picked up.

For the BBS and the BFIA courses, the candidates will get 50% weightage from the entrance test, 30% from Class XII scores, and 10% each from interview and GD. As BBE does not conduct interviews and GDs, its results will be declared on June 25. Admission will be based on 50% weightage on the test and 50% on the Class XII marks.

Eligibility conditions: appeared/passed the 10+2) teams of nation that aggregate 60 per cent marks (55 per cent for SC/ST/CW/ physically challenged categories) in four papers including English for BBS and English and mathematics forBFIA. Trust of the papers may be accountancy, biology, biotechnology, business studies, chemistry, economics, into conversion, geography, history, Informatics practices, introductory computer science, mathematics, physics, political science, psychology, public administration, secretarial practices, social science, sociology, word processing.

Admission criteria are given in the information brochure. Entrance test will be conduct on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 12 PM at various test centres in Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Lucknow.

Information bulletin 2009 and the application forms can be obtained through bank draft, payable at Delhi (with validity of six months) in favour of principal, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies from some branches of Canara Bank. Outstation applicants can obtain information bulletin and application form by post. Last date of receipt of application form is second of May 2009.  Candidate must keep a photocopy of the demand draft.

application fee for one course is Rs 460 ( Rs 260 for SC/ST/CW)  and for both the courses is Rs 660 ( Rs 360 for SC/ST/CW) application forms will be available for sale from 15.04.2009 to 02.05.2009.
