Applications are invited on prescribed from obtainable from the college office on all working days (Mon to fri) for the following posts of Assistant Professors. The application form can also be downloaded from the website of the college www.ststephens.edu and submitted to the college.
1. Biology 1 Temporary post
2. Chemistry 3 permanent post
3. Economics 3 permanent post and 1 Temporary post
4. English 2 permanent post 3 Temporary post
5. History 1 permanent post 3 Temporary post
6. Mathematics 2 Permanent post 2 Temporary post
7. Philosophy 1 Permanent post
8. Physics 4 Permanent post
9. Political Science 1 Temporary post
10. Sanskrit 1 Temporary post
11. URDU 1 Permanent post

Eligibility criteria, essential qualifications and pay scales are as per the rules of the University of Delhi / University Grants Commission.

Qualifications:
Good academic record with at least 55% marks (relaxation of 5%for SC / St /PH candidates / for those holding Ph. D. degree who are already who are already in the University system and have obtained Master’s level in the relevant subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC. However, those candidates who hold a Ph. D. Degree (in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009) in the concerned subject are exempted from NET.

General Conditions:
Posts reserved for physically handicapped candidates will be filled before other posts.
Candidates already in service must apply through proper channels.
The College reserves the right to call a limited number of applicants for interview based on their qualifications.
The College reserves the right to change the number and nature of posts and not to fill up of the vacancies advertised.
Applications should reach the college office on or before 5th Match 2010.
