IIT Kanpur invites applications for Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors in various Departments. The selected candidates may opt to participate in the academic activities of the interdisciplinary programmes (IDPs).

Departments – Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences & Bio-engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Management Engineering, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics and Statics, Physics, Humanities and Social Sciences.

IDPs- Design, Environmental Engineering and Management, Lasser Technology, Materials Science, Nuclear Engineering and Technology. The appointments in IDPs will be made through the relevant departments.

Applicants should have an excellent academic record with Doctoral Degree along with experience in research/development industry. Applicants who do not fulfill minimum experience requirements may be offered an appointment on contract. The requirement of minimum qualification and/or experience may be relaxed in the case of candidates with outstanding credentials. Reservations at entry level will be applications as per G. O. I. norms. Last date of the receipt of the application is December 20, 2009.
