Essential Qualification:

1. Master’s Degree in Science or Engineering and a Doctoral Degree in Science or Engineering from a Recognized University in India or abroad.
2. 15 years experience in Research and Development/ University/Academic Institution/ Government Science and Technology Agencies/Organizations including responsibilities in planning, Administration, Development and Coordination of Research Project & Programmes.
Desirable:
Proven leadership qualities, enormous national and international exposure in Science & Technology and published research of high quality.
Responsibilities:
Shall be responsible for facilitating R&D activity in the University, building a single window support system for various Principal Investigators, promotion of inter and intra departmental cooperation, public private partnership, coordination with Industry and funding agencies and promoting international contacts.
Scale of Pay:
The post of Director will carry the revised scale applicable for Professor in Central Universities with suitable incentives plus usual allowances as per the UGC Norms.
Other conditions:
The appointment will be on contract for a period of  five years or till attaining the age of 65 years. However, as per discretion of the University, the appointment may also be made for shorter period like one or two years on deputation/contract.
