Important Information – On Line Admission Stream III for Secondary

Online Admission for Secondary for learners wanting to appear in On-Demand Examination at Secondary.

Note : The Students who have already registered with NIOS and have valid Enrolment No should not register here through online to appear in the On Demand Examination. Such Students having valid Enrolment number and Identity card should register themselves under “Online Registration for On Demand Examination for Existing Learners”.

Availability Available On Line throughout the year. The admission under this stream is limited to the availability of seats in ODES at Secondary with a option of Examination Centre at NIOS Headquarter or at the Regional Centre.
Eligibility Learners who have already passed Secondary from recognized Board and want to take part admission in one subject or up to 4 subjects for updating their qualification.

OR

2. The learners who had appeared but could not clear or were eligible to appear but could not appear the Public Examination of Secondary Level from any recognized Examination Board and want to appear through On Demand Examination System of NIOS for Secondary level only.
Minimum Age 15 (Fifteen) years as on the date of application. The supporting document required for the proof of age is Attested copy of the Certificate of Date of Birth.
Mode of Examination Learners registering under this scheme will be allowed to appear in the Examination only through On Demand Examination mode. In any circumstances/case they will not be allowed to appear in the Examination through the Public Examination conducted by NIOS during October/Nov. and April/May.
Limitation of Seats 100 per Day
Declaration of Result Every month for the exams held during the previous month.
Fees

Rs.250 Rs. 200/- per subject for Theory, Additional Rs. 50/-for Practical per subject Rs. 75/- per subject
Marksheet/Certificate The candidate has to submit an Application form along with a bank draft of Rs. 100/- & the Internet Result copy to Marks & Migration Unit to obtain the Marksheet/Certificate
Study Material Either download from the website or send the requisition to NIOS
Personal Contact Programme (PCP) No PCP
Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) No TMA
Examination for Theory At the NIOS HQ at NOIDA ODE Examination hall.
Practical Exam The Practical Examination is notified to the learners during the theory paper.
Examination Timings 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Transfer of Credit(TOC) As per NIOS norms
Instructions
  1. Please take 2 Printout of filled in Admission Form. Please put your signature and paste passport size photograph on the printed Application Form and send it within 5 Days from the date of Registration to,

  1. Attach the attested documents along with the printout of the filled in application form and get the photographs attested on the printed application form from Principal/Co-ordinator or Gazatted Officer/Tehsildar/District Magistrate.
  2. You should ensure that the particulars filled in the On Line Application Forms are correct.
  3. Photograph : You should scan your photograph and save it in the form of .jpg file for uploading the same.
  4. Fees :

There will be two options for the payment of fees:

(A) The fee can be deposited On-line through Credit Card/debit card, or

(B) Through Bank Draft in favour of Secretary, NIOS payable at NOIDA. Pl. mention your Reference No. and Name at the back of the Bank Draft.
Documents Required to be sent along with the Printout of the filled in Online Admission Form
  • Attested copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or District Office of the Registrar of Birth and Deaths for all born on or after 26.01.1989.
  • Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate showing applicant’s date of birth, issued by the last school attended by the applicant. In case of Govt. schools the transfer certificate/school leaving certificate should be signed by the Principal while in the case of Private schools it should also be countersigned by the competent education authority of State/or District Education Officer.
  • Certificate from the Employer for Ex-Servicemen,

    Certificate from a Government Hospital for a handicapped person

    Original failure/compartment Marksheet of class X for TOC

    Transfer Certificate from the last school attended or Self Certificate regarding educational qualifications.

  • Transfer Certificate from the last school attended or Self Certificate regarding educational qualifications.

(ii) Affidavits Countersigned by Notary Public etc., will not be accepted and the admission will be rejected.
