National Institute of Technology Special Recruitment Drive for Reserved SC ST OBC PH Vacancies

NIT, Rourkela invites applications from Indian nationals belonging to reserved (SC, ST, OBC) categories, possessing excellent academic background along with commitment

to quality teaching and potential for out relevant research, for faculty positions at the level of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. While Ph. D degree will

be a mandatory requirement for appointment to all the posts in the regular cadre, candidates without Ph. D degree may be appointed to the post of Assistant Professor on

contract for a maximum of 3 years (5years in exceptional cases) duration or till the candidate acquires Ph. D degree.

The contract position will be regularized with effect from the date of joining on acquiring Ph. D degree. Salary allowances and other incentives will be per 6th CPC

recommendations as applicable to the Centrally Funded Technical Institutes as notified by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.
