It’s been only two days since the admission season started and Delhi University has already sold nearly 63,000 common pre-admission forms. On Saturday, 22,413 forms were sold across 16 designated centres. The highest sale of 3,220 forms was recorded at the Arts faculty.

According to DU officials, they may give out as many as 1,80,000 common forms this year for 54,000 seats available at the undergraduate level. ‘‘We may sell around 40,000 more forms as compared to last year. We made a record sale on the first day on Friday. Sales on Saturday were a little slow,’’ said Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, deputy dean, students’ welfare.

Though a common form is sufficient to apply in almost all colleges and courses, aspirants are making a beeline for individual forms of colleges just to play safe. Hans Raj College has sold 2300 forms — 400 and 460 forms for sports and ECA respectively — while KMC has sold 2200 forms and SGTB Khalsa 1350 forms till now. ‘‘There is no need to fill individual forms unless you are applying for the ECA or sports quota or a course that has an entrance,’’ added Tuteja.
