Guest teachers are proposed to be engaged by the Heads of Schools of the Directorate of Education from amongst the qualified persons.

Guest Teachers in Delhi Government Schools for 2011-2012
Subject-wise vacancies in each school are available on website. The vacancies are subject to variation, wherever retired teacher(s) have already been engaged as Guest Teachers by school.
The Guest Teachers shall be paid Rs. 100/- and Rs. 80/- per period in case of PGT and TGT respectively subject to maximum or Rs. 12500/- and Rs 10000/- per month. Assistant Teacher, shall be paid Rs. 200/- per day subject to maximum of Rs. 5000/- per month.
Candidates with post graduate degree in subject concerned with B. Ed can apply for PGT. Candidates with Graduation in specific subjects with B. Ed can apply for TGT. Candidate who have passed Sr. Secondary examination with Diploma in Elementary Teacher Education or equivalent can apply for assistant Teacher.
Upper age limit is 27 years in case of Assistant Teacher, 32 years (42 in case of female) in case of TGT and 36 years in case of PGT as on 1st July 2010.
The Teachers would be engaged on the basis of academic performance of the applicants as different level.
Result of registration can be seen on web-site on 7th August 2010.
