The wait for students, who appeared for CAT 2011, will finally be over on January 11, 2012 when theIndian Institutes of Management (IIMs) announce the CAT 2011 Results and open gates to their hallowed corridors.

CAT 2011 Results form the basis of selection criteria not only for IIM aspirants but also for other Tier-II MBA colleges across India.

Administered by Prometric, around 2.05 Lakh candidates appeared for the exam this year, adding over thousand aspirants to the last year’s strength.

Apart from the 33 existing centres, this year, exams were held in three more cities – Jamshedpur, Jammu and Bhilai. Except one incident which took place at the Institute of Local Governance, Bangalore, where a student was shifted to a backup location, CAT 2011 was overall glitch-free.

Total 1034 candidates are Shortlisted for verification of documents to the post of Teacher Primary. Overall percentage for selection is 79.46% and above. MCD has given 25% weightage to class 10 marks, 45 % weightage to class 12 marks and 30 % weightage to teacher training course.

Instruction to Shortlisted Candidates for Engagement of Primary Teachers on Contract basis 

1. Based on the uploaded applications, candidates have been shortlisted for verification of documents.
2. The candidates whose names appear in the list may present themselves at the place and time as indicated along with the original and   two sets of photocopy of the following documents duly attested by a gazetted officer and one pass port size photograph :-

1. Original mark sheet and certificate of Secondary Examination or equivalent.
2. Original mark sheet and certificate of Senior Secondary Examination or equivalent.
3. Original mark sheet and certificate of ETE/JBT/B.El.Ed in   case of Teacher (Primary)/Teacher (Primary- Urdu/Tamil/Bengali) or equivalent.
4. Original mark sheet and certificate of Nursery Teacher Training Certificate or equivalent or B.Ed (Nursery) in case of Teacher (Nursery))
5. Caste certificate issued from the competent authority of GNCTD of Delhi.
6. In case of candidates belonging to Physical Handicapped /Visual Disability, certificate issued from a Govt. Hospital.
7. Proof of passing Hindi/Tamil/Bengali /Urdu  and English
8. Proof of Date of Birth
9. Voter I.D./Driving Licence/Aadhar Card/Ration Card /Pan card.
10. Copy of online application with signature of the applicant and affix an attested photograph on the left side of the format.

3. Vacancies shall be filled up as per final merit list prepared after verification of documents; hence all short listed candidates have no right for engagement.
4. No T.A. /D.A. or any type of payment would be admissible.
5. The original documents of the selected candidates will be retained in the office of concerned DDEs/ADEs for verification from the concerned board/universities. The candidates are advised to keep attested photocopies of all such documents with them.

Of the total 79,4080 candidates registered for the test, 71,5050 had sat for the exam held on June 26. The test was conducted in 1,178 centres and 81 cities across the country and two cities abroad. The results can viewed in cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. It can also be viewed in national depository portals like nad.ndml.in/NAD, ndml.in and nad.co.in.

CTET Result 2011 

The CTET result is declared for both paper-1 and paper-2. There were 150 questions in each paper. Student with 90 or more marks are declared qualified. The result shows individual marks obtained in different sections too. It was not compulsory to get 60% marks in individual sections. The candidates getting very less marks in one section but getting good marks in other section with overall percentage more than 60% are going to get qualifying certificate.

It means you must get overall 60% marks (90 marks out of 150) to get the qualifying certificate. individual marks in different section are not much relevant.

This will allow students to apply for re-evaluation in case they are not satisfied with marks. “The university administration felt the need for re-evaluation as we have this provision at B-Tech level,” said RP Yadav, vice-chancellor, RTU.

The council also decided to give a “mercy chance” to re-appear in the failed papers for those appearing for B Tech final exam. “The mercy chance will benefit thousands of students who could not clear the exams due to backlog in one or more subjects,” said Yadav. Sources said the mercy chance has been given as many a times the university was found at fault while preparing the results.

The council also approved the syllabi of new M Tech programmes in nano technology and transportation engineering. Both the branches have been introduced at RTU’s Kota campus from this year. Considering the problem in finding appropriate books on each subject, the council has issued a list of prescribed books for each branch. Similarly, colleges have been asked to make these books available in libraries.

The university has come-up with rules and regulations for PhD programmes. So far, it has been following Rajasthan University’s rules and regulations. The new rules will be uploaded on university website. In another decision which could help poor students, the university has deferred check-point scheme, which prevents students’ promotion to third year in case of pending backlogs of first year.

Meanwhile, the university has started counselling for engineering colleges. The counselling will last till July 30. “RTU has made several nodal agencies where students can submit their OMR sheets,” said Yadav. Students have to fill college code and branch code in the OMR sheet.

“The compilation, tabulation and printing of result booklets are over and we are going to publish the results on Saturday morning at 9.30am”, Mishra said.

At least 4.86 lakh students appeared the examinations in about 2200 examination centres across the state in April this year. The answer scripts were evaluated in over 80 evaluation centres in May. The tabulation of marks was done at Kolkata while the printing of result booklets were also done at a printing press outside the state, sources informed.

The State School and Mass Education minister Pratap Jena would make the results public at a function here on June 25 and the result booklets would be simultaneously sold at 33 important schools of the State on the same day.
