The results came on Monday, ending confusion over the timing of the announcement. The board uploaded the results on its website in the evening, taking schools and students by surprise.

Of the 1.52 lakh candidates from the Chennai region, 54,741 opted for school-based exams. Of them, 432 are eligible to appear as eligibility for improvement of performance. They would have scored E1 and E2 grades.

CBSE Class 10 Result Declared on 21 May 2012 for Chennai region. The result for other regions will be updated within next 1-2 days.

How to Apply for M.Phil. and Ph.D courses 2012 (from Central Institute of Education)

The prospectus and application forms are available from 16th July, 2012 to 6th August, 2012 for Rs. 450 for general candidates and Rs. 300 for SC/ST and physically challenged candidates. The prospectus for these programmes is only available SBI Delhi University (North campus). Students can also obtain their M.Phil and Ph.D forms through post, by sending a demand draft of Rs. 525 for general category candidates and Rs. 375 for SC/ST andphysically challenged candidates.

Instructions to fill in online application form Please do not use any special character like: single quote (‘) while filling up the form STEP-I: Make Payment In order to fill in the online application, payment of application fee has to be made before hand. The payments are made through Demand Draft only. Eligibility

80% or more marks in the aggregate and 80% or more in Mathematics in class XII from CBSE/ICSE/IB board or equivalent If a board has more then five subjects for aggregate, then best five will be taken. Additional criteria for admission in ECE program: Physics in Class XII. If the result of 10+2 is not declared by the respective board, then the student can sit for exam, but at the time of counseling he/she has to produce the certificate of class 10+2 result fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
